It's the day before thanksgiving so of course I didn't have everything i needed and had to go to QFC.  Also needed to pick up some alcohol for my dad to clean putty out of his clothes, and some flowers from my mom.

The plan was to be at their place at the same time as Josh to make an attempt to use Hoyer lift and get dad onto toilet.  Josh was late and bossy OT from Kindred showed up.  Even my mom noticed she was a bit abrupt, she was early which didn't help, and critical of them for not knowing she was coming.   I know these people are on schedules and it's a fine line between being patient and getting things done.  She started to talk about why my dad was in wheelchair 24/7 and not in bed, luckily that thread got interrupted because it's a long and lost cause.

Josh showed up, Mary helped demonstrate use of Hoyer although we already knew some methods better than her, takes a village to collect all the best methods.  Got dad over toilet and he decides he'd like to use it while he's there, Josh and I got his pants down, but positioning on seat was awkward.  I bailed at about this point, I don't want to be involved in helping him with the toilet.  I have guilt about that, it's partly out of whimpiness but I also think I don't want that to be our relationship and my memories if avoidable.  I left and got imodium for dad, rather than the rx that his dr. prescribed which may be overkill and have too many side-effects, can use it if imodium doesn't work.

Vickie is cleaning and I am post hot tub.  Sun is shining, should have 5 of us for T-day tomorrow.  Life is pretty good considering we are on covid lockdown, my parents have slow debilitating illnesses and the pets are a pain in the ass.
